Is a Blog Better Than a Website?
Everyone wants in on this blogging action, but why? Sure, blogging is popular, and yes, it does provide new, fresh content to improve the SEO properties of your site, but I prefer to think of it as the beginning of a change in how your organization operates.
Adding a blog to your website provides the benefits of a blog, but it also forces you into a different mindset for how you interact with the Internet. Content on a website used to get written, approved by Product Management and Marketing, and then put live. The turnaround time, and attitude of a process like doesn’t really encourage addressing recent events, or customer relationships.
A blog reduces the procedural steps between an individual in an organization, and the customer, but once an organization starts thinking in this way, it starts down a path that will lead to a greater channel of communication with it’s customers.
