Go Transit’s Automated Ticket Machine

I tried to purchase a ticket from GO Transit’s new machine this morning, here a few observations…

1) The first and second steps look identical. I couldn’t tell if I had to take an action for step 2 because there was no prompt, so I thought the machine wasn’t doing anything.

2) I tried to pay with Interac… it says “Enter your PIN on the pad below”. There was a keypad, but no display. Anyone familiar with Interac knows you need to choose the account first, then enter the PIN, but if there is no display, then the user won’t know what to do.

#2 basically broke the process, the Interac thing was broken so I couldn’t pay. Perhaps if they had tested the machine on someone other than a developer they might have noticed.
